How to set up Google Ads Conversions for your Shopify store?

With Analyzify and Google Tag Manager, you can do this easily. Here’s how you can get started, whether you want to use an existing conversion or create a new one.

Option 1: Use existing conversions

Before You Start: Make sure the conversion you're planning to use isn't being tracked by another app or tool. If it is, you might end up with double counting issue.

Steps:

  1. Check Your Google Ads Account: Dive into the "Conversions" section and find the conversion action you want to use for Shopify.
  2. Note Details: Find the conversion ID and label from your chosen conversion. You’ll need these for the setup in Shopify with Google Tag Manager.

Option 2: Create new conversions

If you don’t have a conversion action set up or want to create a new one specifically for Shopify, here’s what to do.

Steps:

  1. Create a New Conversion: Go to your Google Ads account and hit the "+ New conversion action" button in the "Conversions" section.
  2. Set Up Your Conversion: Follow the prompts to create your conversion action. Be sure to select the specific actions you want to track, like purchases or sign-ups on your Shopify store.
  3. Find Your Conversion ID & Label: Once your new conversion is ready, make a note of the conversion ID and label for the setup process.
